How much HP loss from using 91 octane?
I am in SoCal. The way my car is set up, I basically have to use high octane gas, or else take it easy on the throttle if I get stuck running on 91. There is an Alliance Gas station at Woodley Ave. and Sherman Way in Van Nuys that sells 101 octane Trick gas for $4.259/gal. I don't know where you are located, but that's where I usually fill up.
Richard & Kilterman,
Thanks for the high octane tips. I'm in the SF Bay area, and there are some places where I can buy the 100 octane stuff.....but I just can't afford $4-5/gal for everday use :-(

Adding a gallon of toluene or xylene to each tank when you fill up will get you above 93 octane... Used it for quite a while and liked the results. Lately I've been trying some Torco race fuel concentrate...
