Go to www.zeitronix.com and look at their zt-2 unit. I am using it now and it can datalog and graph pretty much anything you want. I am currently using their EGT and wideband but you can connect your own also if you want. It runs off any Windows based laptop.

Also www.pocketlogger.com is a good option for data logging as it also lets you check and clear OBDII codes. Have this one as well and is a handy tool to have when a friends check engine light comes on.

There are lots of options out there. It all depends on how much you want to log and what you want to do with the log data afterwards. My personal experience is with the ECU+. It's got phenomenal logging capabilities as well as the ability to tune AFR and timing. It accepts inputs from a WBO2 and a MAP sensor. Logging is done to a PC or to a Palm device.

I'm meeting the owner of this company next week for a live demo on my car. The air/fuel ratio, datalogging, graphing, numerous sensors, etc.... have my interest, but want to demo before I buy.

Scan Tool/Logger

Did the one for 279 but then bought all the extras also..in the end was just over 600 with EGT and Wideband. I use it with the laptop and the pocketlogger with the palm.

I'm interested to hear what you think. I'm pretty much sceptical of ANY scanner that uses the ODB-II port being able to provide the sampling rate necessary to do any sort of serious performance tuning or logging. At 7500rpm stuff happens in the 10s of milliseconds, not 100s so a typical ODB-II scan tool can miss important events.

The last post to this thread was in Jan 2005 - this is 9 months later and I'm sure new products have been released - does anyone have any experience with some of the newer OBDII scanner/datalogger kits for laptops?

I saw the pocketlogger in operation with a Palm PDA last night, and it runs about $125-145 with the cables, I'm just wondering if there's an equivalent product for a windows laptop that's the same price or cheaper.
