picked up my 05 RS!

Got a great Deal HB Mitsubishi, $250 over invoice.finally arrived fresh off the Truck, I drove it home wrapped in plastic. It only had five miles on it.

This 05 is very different than my 04 RS (gone) It does not have any deceleration whine, and shifts very smooth. for all of you considering a 04 drive a 05 first.

Oil temp gage is nice, I never knew how long it took to warm up the oil. I will baby this car until break-in.

Congrats!

What happened to your 04 RS to make you get a new 05 RS (if you don't mind me asking)?

How much faster does it feel? Did you notice the boost hitting later?

Nice! Can you attribute the smoother shifting to the teflon coated shifter cables?

no problem shifting from 1ST to 2nd, and 4th to 5th grind if not careful. the gearchange from 4th to 5th does not seem as far away, must be the extra Torque. It is very strange, the tranny does not even feel like the same one. no more german knothcy feel. I wonder what they did? no whines from drivetrain, maybe this will fix the P0300.

I think this car is the real sleeper, That is why the performance number have not been tested, might make the MR look bad. only 400 RS's this year. Mitsu has to sell MR'S. I noticed that the 5-speed RS in japan gets the 9.8T seems the 10.5t was designed to be mated with the 6-speed.

developed a good relationship with HB Mitsubishi, Confident they will back my car if needed. This is important.

I have not pushed the car yet. I have not given it any jerky inputs. I will have 600 miles in about a week.
