A Few Questions on Purchasing a New Evo

My first questions is: My dealer was being a jerk about making sure they were making at least $1000 over invoice on any 05s. The sales manager said that he pays invoice and he has to sell over just so he can pay the salesman that sells it to me.

My best friends dad owns a Ford dealership, and I know that invoice price is not what the dealer pays for it. Could this be different with Mitsu?

The second questions I have is about rebates or offers. I read where someone said he got a $500 Mitsu loyalty rebate and I know that I am eligible for a $500 rebate for being a new college grad.

I know all of you have done your homework. I have searched and I would love to hear what you all have to say about this.

There's no Loyalty Rebate for the 2005 Evo only for the 2004. But there is a college Grad discount. You have to graduate with in one year of the time of purchase or 2 years before
.

And the dealer has HoldBack and Dealerflooring money but good luck trying to convince them that It's not a part of the invoice price.

The EVOs are excluded from the college grad discount too .... sorry but there are no rebates on this car. You'll have to bargain the old fashion way ..... goodluck

I got the loyalty rebate on my '05 MR. I have *NEVER* been able to talk the dealer into college grad rebate. I guess I should've tried again this time on the MR, but I did not...

I actually got the college grad rebate on my 05 gsr. They told me about it so I brought a copy of my diploma in a few days after the purchase. I later read that it didn't apply for the Evo. Then I received a check in the mail from Mitsubishi. I was pleasantly surprised. When it was all said and done I bought my 05 Evo for a few hundred less than invoice.

Actually, the dealer was ignorant, so they sent the paperwork to Mitsubishi because they weren't sure. The check came directly to me from Mitsubishi.
