It all depends on the dealer, but legally, they can't void your warranty. They can only deny service if they can prove the particular mod caused the problem. However they still do, because most people don't get a lawyer and fight it.

As far as the Boost Gauge goes, you should be fine. This will have no effect on the warranty. All you are doing is tapping into a vaccuum line to get a reading.

The Oil Pressure gauge could give you a little trouble. If for some reason you had a leak or loss the fitting and loss the oil in the engine, this could void your motor warranty as you caused the failure because you installed the fitting.

Same goes for the EGT. If your proble broke and it was injested into the turbo, your motor warranty is void.

As long as you take pre-caution and do things the right way you will be fine.

I didn't say they would, but if you have anything such as any electrical issue, they could blame it on you gauge installation...

Mitsu has a guage set available for the Evo. It cost about $650 as I recall. As for voiding the warranty. You have a sales contract that includes a warranty giving you specific legal rights that you may have to pursue if there is trouble. When I bought my Evo I had to agree to binding arbitration in any case where there was a dispute over warranty repairs. So far the dealer has been very fair.

At my dealership it would void the warranty if the non-factory item caused a problem. If your aftermarket gauge failed and shorted out a harness that would not be warranty. Ditto what 05-EVO-GSR said. If any aftermarket item causes a failure, the damage it caused would not be warranty. That is how we treat our customers. We don't deny warranty just because you have mods.

The Boost gauge should be fine but the EGT and Oil Pressure gauge might be a possible issue when somethign goes wrong. I use MIGHT loosely because anything is possible. The best thing to do is to ask the service manager of your dealership. Don't forget to write their names. It sucks that EVOs do not come with boost gauges as a standard included option.

I don't think they would give you too much crap about it, plus their warranty is **** anyways because they don't up-hold it.
