Yes, a cop can rev his/her engine to give you the opportunity to exhibit speed or race.

Basically: Cop revs at a light and you go for it. not entrapment. Cop revs at a light, you say no, cop pulls his gun and says he'll kill you, then you go for it and get a ticket = entrapment. And then you hav to prove it in court

entrapment is EXTREMELY RARE!!! The legal definition is approximately: coercing a reasonable person to do something they would not otherwise do in a given situation via threat.

What you guys are arguing about is ENTICEMENT not entrapment.

So if a cop revs his engines in any case undercover or not, it's legal, if we rev our's whether we race or not, it's illegal? I hate America

If it isn't a good match - let it go. It's just extra wear and tear on your car for nothing - they know they can't beat you - they just want to get a reaction out of you.

I have Chevy Blazer Kids Try to rev on me. I am stopped in a turn lane going the opposite direction. People who rev just dont think. I think about how stupid they look. Same people who try to join gangs and cant fight.
