Mitsu selling accounts

Well a few days ago I got this letter in the mail stating that my account has been bought out by Capital One LLC. Did this happen to anyone else?

This has to be the worst possible time for this to happen because I just sent in my payoff check to Mitsu last week. Now I just got off the phone with this Capital place and my money still hasn't posted in thier system. Any advise from people?

Has Mitsu already cleared the check? If not, you could always cancel it. It's not your mistake, but it may be worth the 15-20 bucks or so to eliminate the headaches of tracking your money down.

Sorry to hear about your troubles.

Yes Mitsu cleared the check on Feb 28th. It still has not cleared the Capital LLC, the payment is due on the 1st of each month, I'm sure there is a grace period, if not there will be hell to pay. My credit rating (almost perfect) isn't or I should say won't suffer because of this.
