I post this once but i'll post it again. A few years ago, fort lee NJ had a modded supra and a modded civic si undercover car. I've seen the supra pulling a camero over after they lined up and the camero gunned when it turned green. I still see the supra at the station's parking lot but I haven't seen the si (maybe it got jacked like mine did) Its pretty crazy how you see a nice supra being an undercover cop car.

too bad the cars can't choose for themselves

of course, you know mustangs and cameros would always choose to be NARCs

their chances of seeing something get stolen in the 'bad' neighborhood are better, and their chances of baiting a 'tricked out' car into racing are better than getting a prius to race them.

now, i could see if they pulled over a black guy in a lexus just because that seemed 'fishy' to them as being profiling.
that's like saying all black people are theives and all white people don't kill people.

That and it's like saying, if I dress well, i can't be suspected of racing (if i drive a e55 amg, because it's benz) but if i'm in a civic bone stock, i'm suppose to be fishy and race.

that's called profiling.

whatever, hope you don't ever get pulled over for doing nothing because "it's fishy" to cop for having a bone stock evo. Because you do, you can't justify yourself anymore.

" now, i could see if they pulled over a black guy in a lexus just because that seemed 'fishy' to them as being profiling." this is racial profiling and discrimination.

but how is that different from say, you get pulled over for being in an evo that looks like it's been worked on, because it's got a big wing?

... sigh... i'm gonna go for a ride. hope the cops don't think i'm fishy for having a shiny red car with a big freaking wing at the stop light.

That happened to me driving my Evo home after I just bought it. I had a guy in a Z28 Camaro that kept running up on me on the interstate and revving and all (had exhaust). I didn't play b/c I just got the Evo and all of a sudden he throws on blue lights that were TOTALLY hidden and pulls over some random Camry going the speed limit in the slow lane. Who knows what the deal was. Pissed me off big time though.

I think the worst I've ever seen is the taxicab cops they have in NY. I got pulled over by one when I lived there, impossible to distinguish between a normal cab. Had the on/off duty light on top, the $2.00 a mile markings on the sides and all. Had a fully uniformed highway patrolman come out and give me a ticket. That in my opinion is seriously unnecessary and only adds fuel to the fact that police are just income generators for the city.

now you're comparing apples to oranges - you're saying bone stock civic (which you see all over the place) and i'm saying evo with big wing, FMIC, larger than normal looking exaust, hood vents, ect (which you don't see very often at all).

ya, that's what i said. hence the part "as being profiling".

IT'S NOT DIFFERENT. i've already said in another post that if you drive a car like an evo and the cops pull you over just because they think that, because of what you drive, you might be up to something (illegal mods, have drugs/guns in the car, ect.), then THAT IS profiling.

but if they see you in your evo, it's fair to assume that you might be baitable. just like a guy in a mustang cobra might be baitable. having a fast car says to the cops "that guy might use that to street race...let's INVESTIGATE and see if he does". then if you don't take the bait and they pull you over anyway, there's a problem there. and if you do take the bait, well then he was right, wasn't he?

i'm done - some people will always hate cops and try to twist words to make 'em sound bad. are a lot of them bad...YES. but there are many good ones too and you can't forget about the guys who are just trying to do their job as best they can.
