Evo vs 350Z
Greddy has a turbo kit for the 350 Z, they're just putting the final tweaks to the kit and it should be ready for production anytime time now. I have no idea of what it will cost
Oh yeah back to the original question, pick the Z, that way their will be more Evo's for the rest of us. J/K
I would suggest what others already have, and that is to do a test drive of both vehicles. And make your decision based on which ever vehicle you can see yourself being content with. Especially if you'll be paying for the next five years on it.

Didn't the VQ engine on nissan's JGTC car have some sort of catastrophic failure at 530 hp or so? And that was on a strengthened and race-prepped engine!!! well, the 350z has a vq (not the same displacement, but that extra .5 liters means thinner cylinder walls, which could mean a weaker engine...) I'd be afraid of making as serious of an upgrade as a turbo charger to the VQ...
i dont really agree
roomy is all the way evo cuz it's got back seat 350z is only 2 seater

you sure can test drive a 350z but most dealer already presold the evo so there will be no demo evo for ppl to test drive besides who want to buy a evo with 500 miles "test drive miles" when they can get a fresh new one

Paul, just reporting the rumors I've heard/read... and not on the forums. I think it'll be the same engine block (maybe) but reworked to accept the TCing a little more efficiently. But, then again, I'm no expert.

Yeah, but will your statement still hold up 6 months to a year from now?... I'm sure there'll be Evo's to test drive by then. And there will probably be a few in the used car market also.

If you want:
1) Bling
2) Pick up chics
3) Sporty "look" and "feel"
... get a 350Z
If you want:
1) Performance
2) Don't care about looks
3) AWD + Turbo i.e. great modability
... get an EVO
You won't pick up chics in an EVO like you would in a 350Z and not matter how hard you tried to explain to a girl how "fast" your EVO is, the Bling Bling factor of the 350Z will win every time.
In my book, case closed, pick which you care about more, looks or performance and go from there.

in looks is that it doesn't look similar to a econobox...
As far as Sporty "look" and "feel", wouldn't the Z perform about
a tick down from a stock evo??.. Not exactly that slow..

The biggest gap will show itself once you start modding the two cars... mod for mod the EVO will destroy the Z.

I have not tested the rides personally but from reading and word to word,i say both cars have thier ups. The evo seems more set to people who want a nice car and enjoy the history of evo's, the nissan is a very sporty car that is concervative. Gives you the appearnace that yes i have cash and yes i will smoke you. Where as the evo gives the appearnce that don't mess with me or i will burn you, where it seems a lot more agressive. just two different styles. all depends on what you enjoy to drive mmomre.
