Why are the midwestern dealers, particularly SE Michigan dealers getting so screwed?? The rest of the country will have their evos broken in before mine arrives

 

I don't think so. Some already have colors allocated for the 1st allocation and two weeks ago they said mid feburary

 

There isn't a big dealer in Michigan, which is some of the reason they're not seeing any until April. Evo allocations are dependant on Lancer sales and MSR (some figure that uses to rate dealers).

Look at Illinois for example... I think they have a total of 50 inbound in the first allocation, set to hit the 3rd week in February.

 

Every store that has cars coming in the first allocation will be getting them around the same time. No matter where they are located.

 

I have evo alloted in 1st shipment in DC area, and it got pushed back to mid march, so you're probably in 2nd shipment, which aint too bad

 

I'd really check into that deeper Thwack... it doesn't take an extra month to get from the Midwest to the east coast.

My guess is that your dealer bumped you to the 2nd allocation, which is slated for Mid-March everywhere else.

 

I think that's the problem - none of them got any in the first allocation. I just must be really unlucky.

At the Houston Auto Show today the guy with the microphone (not sure but think he must be pretty high up in the Mitsubishi organization) said that they would be at the dealerships in TWO WEEKS!!! Another little fella that works at a local dealership said TEN DAYS!! That would be, like, the first part of Febraury.

 

yeah there was a note on the car here at the detroit auto show that said available in three weeks, about two weeks ago! Not finding that to be true.

 

Not so. I show a total of 16 Evo's going to Michigan with the first allocation. Those cars are shipping the same time as everyone else's.

The ship dates changed today BTW. It's now 3/03 (for all cars, not just 1st group). Expect the date to change again and don't bother calling your dealers asking when they are getting cars. They won't really know until the cars actualy show a shipped status which is at least a month away.

In other words, relax.

 

Mark F - do you have more specific info (ie) where those cars are going? Region, or dealership?
