Question 05 Evo's, RAREST of all Evo's may go up in value?

I just realized then all of us 05 owners are going to have the rarest most valuable Evo's because of the fact that it is the only Evo in the VIII body style with ACD and 276hp, 286lbs torque. With the IX coming out everything changes so anyone who is partial to the VIII's body style will have to get an 05 if they want ACD and the upgraded turbo. Maybe our 05's will increase in value.

I doubt it with so many Evo's being abused my the owner. I wouldn't buy a used Evo unless it was from a friend.

Don't kid yourself The value will drop and continue to unless MIT go out of business or quit making it.

Nice to dream. Yeah, cars go up in value the second you drive them off the lot. LOL. Maybe if you garage it for 30 years.

Unless your 05 Evo says Giles Pannizzi Edtion, it won't be worth much once the Evo9's come out.
In fact... it just went down $100 sitting in the parking lot, as you are reading this.

Kind of like how the 99-00 Civic Si coupes went up in value after they stopped making them. It was crazy they went up almost 1,000 dollars. My friend has one and we always checked it out.

rah ha ha ha ha

if anything it's the 03-04 that may hold value long term as the ACD clutches start to wear out the relatively long lasting viscous coupling starts looking good.. but I'm not kidding myself either way.

Unfortunately people who buys, evo, etc. alsoways want the latest and greatest model. The VIII's will drop in value as soon as the IX is out. The IX will drop in value when the X comes out, etc.

Also consider who wants to buy a modded Evo, especially one without a warranty.

My local dealer still has 2 '05's sitting on the lot. I don't think they are too rare and they havent marked em up anymore than they already. Also, anything is going to lose value when a newer better model comes out.

after evo 10, and 5 years or less, the evo's will skyrocket in price.

just have to hold on to it until then.

you're all reading it wrong...

he meant the RATE of Depreciation could be lower...than 03 and 04...

we're talking about slope people not aggregate price.

Surely you've seen the USDM IX specs by now... the differences between the USDM VIIIs and IXs are very minor: 10 HP, tinted lights, new front end design. Nothing there that'll make the bottom drop out of the '05 Evo market.
