JDM MR headlight question

I've looked and searched, asked and pondered.

Does anyone have any pictures of the beam pattern? Are they up and to the left like i'd imagine them to be?

..thanks.

really? whys that? since they're on the other side of the road over there, it'd be blinding.

I have had my MR Headlights on for over 3 months now and cannot remember what the OEM US Headlight beam pattern looks like exactly.

The JDM MR Headlight Beam Pattern will not blind on coming traffic but will better illuminate the left side of the road as opposed to the US headlights right side.

I wish I could draw it for you??!!

I know thats kinda hard to tell but the bottom line would be more of the headlight beams limit. and then the rest of it is it's trail off. The trail off starts about the middle of the car its about 12 inches higher than the beam patterns bottom.

I apologize if I have confused you.

I have gotten use to them and actually like them more now. I hate taking left turns and not being able to see with my tinted windows. Good luck. Let me know if you have any more questions on them as I have 'disected' all headlights for our cars

ahh, that answers my question, they are to the side.

I'm debating my options, i hated the stock tails, i got the real JDM MR's. Now i'm torn on getting the JDM headlights, or just leaving them. I have a rarely used HID kit from my rsx, that is H11 that would be blindingly bright and different if i threw it in the fog spot, but if i swap the the JDM, then i'd need different bulbs (not worth it on that aspect).

hmmm, decisions, decisions.

fyi, no discredit meant to the self-fabricators, but i'm not a fan of oven baked housings, no matter how well they're done. They're a super big thing in the rsx community, and i never cared for them.

Yeah I hear you. I have seen them done and it is pretty good but i would much rather have the real stuff, if you can afford it. I have both on my car (MR Heads and Tails) I love the look. I also painted my emblem black up front and took off the emblem in the back to leave just the UK Black Badge in the rear. It looks pretty clean. Good luck with the decisions.

P.S. - Everything fits like normal in the MR's minus the foglights. All you have to do is purchase the new connector for an 9006 bulb.

What color is yours?

Weightless White for me

Isn't the USDM EVO IX coming with the black housing heads and tails? Maybe it would be worth waiting on the IX to see if it will fit in the VIII....

when you look at the pics, they say "smoked", and if you see them, they're like a dark grey, not a black.

no no no the Headlight has the hole setup for a 9006 bulb. You just need a 9006 Wiring Harness for it because your H11 connector won't cut it.

Nice!! on the silver

Good point Cabo!! Only thing is . . . . . . we are seeing the JDM version we may still get the silver/chrome housings

Isn't there a press release that says the USDM EVO will have the smoked lights? Or has it not been finalized yet?

I'm hoping "smoked" means the housings and not the lenses...

Torn between the looks of that and the JDM MR's but I think I like the darker look on my White. Just me though.
