Anyone have deposits on both STI/EVO?

Hi,

I have deposits on both STI and EVO VIII. Am I the only one sitting on the fence?

Do I flip a coin?, adjust medication?

I thought about doing the same thing, in case my dealer decides to charge me over MSRP But as of right now, I only have a deposit down on the evo (which is the car I'd rather get)

I probably would if I was smart, but for now, I only have money down on the Evo...

Basically, I'm hoping that the STi comes in at least 100 lbs over the Evo and $3k more and that we know that before my Evo shows up.

One of the reasons I haven't put a deposit down on the STi yet is that I thought it might start me down a path I didn't want to go down. Next thing you know, I'd be putting down money on a RX-8, and then maybe an S60R. And heck, then there's the new S4 just around the corner, and the CTS V Series is supposed to be coming this fall.

I wanted to buy a hot rod 4 door last fall, but there really wasn't anything doing it for me. By this fall, I will be swimming in choices if I can't get my *** off the fence...

I hope it's $3k over and 100lb less...

I have deposits on both, though I am leaning towards the STi. I think I may let the first batch of Evos go and hope the STi facts come out soon...I am sure the dealer will want to keep my (refundable) deposit, so I think they will let me buy a later car, if I want it...

I am also leaning toward the STI. I am number 1 on the list at my local Subaru dealer. Number 3 for the EVO.

There is to much bovine droppings about both cars right now. I am hoping to have a review in hand on the EVO by Mid March when I was told to expect the EVO.

So many cars, so little time......

Yeah I have deposits on both. I also hope that more STi info (weight, firm price list, head-to-head review) is available by the time the EVO arrives. At worst, I'll get to test drive the EVO before having to make a decision. I may be able to test drive both cars, though. The way the dealership works is when a car comes in, the first in line gets first choice, then second in line, and so on. This means technically I can keep refusing cars and still keep my spot (#2). But if I do that I could miss my chance on the car I really want and get "stuck" with a car that doesn't have the color or options of my choice. I guess I'll have to see how everything plays out...

Sigh, decisions, decisions...

Honestly, everyone I know considering EVO and STi would be happy with either car. They are both sweet machines.
