No you're missing the point. I answered your original proposal. It was sarcastic, and I guess it completely flew over your head. It DID answer your proposal though.

The more weight, the higher the spring rate you'll need to achieve the same result. So by removing a large amount of weight from a vehicle, it has a similar effect as adding higher spring rates with the original weight. Actually it has a better effect because there isn't as much force involved in turning the car now. Tires, springs, shocks, sway bars, everything does less work.

There are other benefits to having a cast iron block which is the reason that Mits has kept it. Heat dissapation is #1 in the advantage book. Cast iron is a far better conductor of heat than aluminum.

needs to pull out their boobies and let an unbiased third party prove the EVO is worth the extra $$$. I understand that the 4g63 is the modern day small block, but a WRX and $500 will put you past the EVO in performance. Don't get me wrong, a WRX can never beat the EVO in style, but some people on this BBS have brand loyalty issues
Can I please have some of the crack that you're smoking? Putting $500 in a WRX will NOT get it to beat an Evo in pretty much ANYTHING. No way, never. (not unless my grandma is driving the Evo and Michael Schumacher is in the WRX).

Yeah I caught the 13 yo smarta$$ attitude in all of your posts.
I know you were just goofing. I just felt like testing the sturdiness of your rake before I placed it in the woods so it could be with its friends.

Have a or and chill.

Iron block with aluminum head is a "classic" formula for turbo charged cars. The Supra, Skyline GTR, S4, and M3 all have iron blocks with aluminum heads. I believe many Porsches use this as well.

You can make ANY car to go fast in a straight line. I've seen an 11 second Jeep Wrangler at the track. If that's all you care about then more power to ya. It is Amerca after all. Land where the .25 is king. I think there are cheaper cars than the WRX even that you can make into a straight line beast tho.

$500 in an Evo would put you over 300 hp.
