Help! Spent two hours trying to remove oem gauges
I'm trying to relocate my 3 oem gauges to the top radio location...
After two hours of trying... I cannot pull that lower trim panel surrounding
the gauges off!!??
Any advices?
Been following these two how-tos..

It says remove two screws and simply pull the trim off?
I can't get a good grip to pull off the trim...
I tried to push it from the back but there are metal rails behind the plastic
clips...

what isnt there to get from the how tos? did you try using an screw driver to pry it off? oh and if you do use a screw driver make sure it has like electrical tape or something on the tip so you dont scratch the dash
there are like 2 clips on the bottom, and I think 4 up top that are a pain in the *** to pull out. Be careful.. but give it a nice tug and it should come out. By nice tug, I mean ... PULL.
Good luck bro.

ohhhh if youre talking about the silver piece that surrounds the a/c knobs then take the 2 screws off and its held by a lot of clips. get a grip from where the A/C knobs were and pull real hard.
Make sure the DIN panel surrounding the gauges aren't catching anything. After the two screws are removed, the panel should at least tilt down a bit. The clips are located on the lower sides and they are quite strong. "Use the force....."

On my RS when I first took the lower trim panel off it was hard like you said. But if you remove the two screws. Then grab the two top corners of the trim and pull towards you/push down, the clips on the bottom will give a little and the trim will tilt down a little, then pull. They are pretty big plastic clips, you shouldn't worry about breaking them, they are pretty durable.

Thats exactly what I ended up doing... you really have to push DOWN as you
pull... Using the how-to on the board, all of them says "pull back" I couldn't remove
the trim.
Thanks guys!
