I test drove the EVO TODAY

MAN, it was so awesome, it was an easy stick to drive!!

im 17, and im stuck between either the WRX or EVO

should i go for the used EVO with 30k miles, or the brand new '05 WRX? (NOT THE STI)

how much should i pay for this used evo and if its a good idea to buy a used evo.

Evo. I was stuck in your situation too. Which to choose, except I was going for the STi.

I picked the Evo after reading several STi vs. Evo comparisons.

i cannot even believe that these are your choices at age 17, i think i had a crystler lebaron or was it a toyota tercel. anyways, i prefer new cars myself, i wouldnt pay more than 22k for the wrk, and the evo what year was it????

Personally, I would go with the WRX. Reasons being....

An evo with 30k miles: with all the clutch and tranny problems that people have had, I wouldn't want to risk it. Besides, it's 30k miles closer to needing everything fixed!

Get the new WRX. Plenty fast, complete warrenty, you know it hasn't been abused (and if it does then it's your own fault).

I say go for the Evo, but only if you know what to look for in a used car - test drive it (of course) then have it inspected by a mechanic you trust. I bought my Evo used with 20K and have no regrets, other than having to upgrade my front rotors. If you're paying attention, you can tell if a car has been badly abused. Mine runs awesome, and I don't think I'll ever regret buying it.

Thumbs down

i would never buy a used turbo car unless i:

1) i knew the owner
2) took care of the car & have docs to back it
3) could get it for wholesale book price or at a police auction
