that sucks. i had a few of those in the days of my lovely civic. damn cops. try to put it in the windshield. just word of caution, if anyone has white rear turn signals, then take them out because they can be ticketed.

 

I can't believe they can do that. I guess I'm lucky for a change since I have not received one.

 

such a pain in the *** getting pulled for no front plate. ive gotten pulled over for it once out here but that was about it. i have a cousin in cali. and when i was there a few months back we got pulled over twice in 1 damn day for having no front plate. i thought they were strict here but now that ive been out there and have seen how the police are it makes out here look like nothing.

 

Yeah it's all a scam - supposedly it's because of the red light cameras, but it's just BS.

 

This is the one thing I hate about living about LA. The cops go overboard with everything and pretty much go after what the "ticket flavor of the month" is.

 

Yeah I always wondered what the point of the front plate was. I used to get that **** all the time when i lived in NY. Thankfully here in AZ they only give 1 plate. I think that red light camera reason is crap because they have them here too and we only get one plate.

 

I guess if you were to follow the rules that the state had in place then you wouldn't have reason to complain about getting a ticket.

If you did have a front plate on, as required by CA, and you had still gotten a ticket then by all means....

i've gotten 2-3 tickets for it so far... i've put on an apr splitter and placed the license plat back on since, but what i did was go to the dealership and complain about some nonsense about the license plate bracket/front bumper and ask for a reciept. when you get pulled over for it, show the reciept and say the manager of the service department is on vacation and they are *****ing you around because you need a special license plate bracket and the idiots don't know how to do anything without the manager. it's not guarunteed to get you off, but i've been pulled over 3 times without my front license and that worked.
