Taking out back seats?

Taking out back seats?

I'm putting a cage in my car this week, i just wanna make it easier for the man whos doing the welding. So i wanna take out my rear interior..How do our back seats come out...? thanks

Easily, if I recall: latches at the front in the middle of each seat (just above the carpet). You push down and back and then lift the lower cushion out. Then there are bolts that hold the seat back to the bulkhead. Fairly easy to my recollection.

On the front of the the rear seat, down at the bottom, there are two tabs you just pull out. There is one on either side. Pull them both out and the seat bottom comes right out. Then the back is held by very obvious bolts.

Just remember...the seatback is hung on 3-4 little hooks along top of the seatback (right along the edge of the carpet). After you remove the 3 bolts holding the seatback in place, you need to LIFT the seatback UP to unhook it.

If you just pull the seatback OUT towards you, you'll bend the frame. You have to lift it first.
