FIC Injector questions...pls help...

Does anybody knows what is the lag time of the FIC 950cc injectors?

& what is the appropriate fuel pressure to be set on a adjustable fuel regulator like the SARD type for this set of FIC 950cc injectors...43.5psi????

Just afraid it might get bore-wash syndrome if too much or if adjusted to low might be too lean....

Please advise...

Try AEM Forums. AEM routinely tests various injectors for delays at various voltages for their EMS wizards. If you don't find the delays listed in a forum post there somewhere, AEM will test them for free if you send them in. I assume if you need to know the actual delay values (mS), you are setting up a standalone?

43.5psi is the normal base rail pressure and the industry standard for flowing injectors. If you turn the base rail pressure down, your injectors will flow less across the board, which kinda offsets the purpose (assuming you need injectors that large in the first place) of installing larger injectors.

Those are some pretty big injectors, so I really hope you need that much fuel under boost because you're probably going to have to spend a lot of time tweaking fuel out for idle/part-throttle before you even start on-boost tuning

No problem. That setup sounds like it would benefit from a standalone...so what are you going to use for management? More info is always good, but at some point it will come down to trial and error on a running setup unless you pay a tuner who has tuned a similar setup before. You just need to start safe and go in baby steps so the error part isn't engine shattering Good luck with it...
