I went to the track to do a couple runs tonight and i could not hit 2nd for the love of god! tried 5 times and its like i hit a brick wall and i had to put the car in 3rd! yes 1st, and then straight to 3rd! i have no idea whats the problem! When driving regularly it goes in 2nd easily!
Sucked bad!

i find that if you do it slower it works, its not an ideal solution for racing, but at least you get to go through 2nd
