Sold '02 Z06 w/mods & Porsche 944 Turbo w/mods for EVO???

What am I thinking???? I took 1st place all last year in my Yellow Z06 at autocrosses and road race track events. Sold it two months ago to get my EVO MR. Today, I sold my 400RWHP Porsche 944 Turbo so I can upgrade the EVO MR. With only the EVO MR in my stable.....I hope I am doing the right thing. Oh, and I did take first in the Porsche Club autocross last month which I posted here....so, all is good so far, but think I will get smoked on the big track straights unless I get some HP in the high end.

Anyone with video help on hosting. I got video of the autocross on a DVD and on computer hard drive, but can't get it to post?????? Need a host!

Quick comparo:

Thanks.

He has other cars for that...
I wouldn't have done what you did, but I'm not a racing fanatic, either. I hope I don't get into racing, that **** is like a cult. Hell, it is a cult!

I hope you don't get into racing either. It's worse than a cult! It's a MONEY TRAIN and I am always trying to get on it. If you are the type who likes to win.....the money train is pretty hard to catch but man it's fun trying.....except for all the STRESS, WIFE comments, and time investment. Ha!

What else can calm my A.D.D.?????

Jets, but they are more than I want to pay.

I'm not going to tell you that you made the right decision. That's your place. But I will say that you didn't make a bad decision. I love my evo!!! I was in a pinch last year and possibly had to sold the evo but I can't find anything that I would want instead. So I kept it!!! It's ALL good now. Have fun.

get some 272's or 280's with a TME turbo and you'll be set.

I had an 02 Z06 stolen before I got my evo, so I have some idea of how you feel. I am not really a compettitve driver but have autocrossed both cars. I think you can have an advantage using the evo's all wheel drive, alongs with utilizing mods and slicks.

Also this is my first season with the evo, Ive been in a few classes with the evo. Was there a difference in classes between the Z and the evo, I know stock there is a difference, but with mods?

You're giving a heroin addict crack, basically. Well, maybe not that bad, you're at the very least egging him on.

I am just helping him with his A.D.D. =)

besides, getting more rwhp out of an EVO is cheaper than buying a jet.

Get a GT35R kit and it'll hold up on the big track straights.
