Lost On This Car

Well I bought my 2005 Apex Silver Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII 3 weeks ago today. I must say wow Im so Glad I sold my Ford Focus for this car because its unbelieveable. For some reason though every time I look at it I cant believe still that I bought the thing lol I know sounds odd anyways.

Now that I have had the car for 3 weeks and 1k miles later im wondering what Im gonna do as far as mods to it go. I was planning on not doing much to it but Now that I come here I dont know what to do with the thing lol. Where any of you guys stuck on what you wanted to do to the car for the first mod?

No, not at all. I went right to the local auto store and bought a K&N drop-in filter without thinking twice about my "first mod."

Turbo timer if you don't have time to sit in your car and don't want to let it cool down for awhile on your drives.... Boost gauge, TBE (turbo-back exhaust, in case you don't know, and that means downpipe, cat or test pipe, and catback), drop-in filter, boost controller and a flash, and then maybe a fuel pump... hey, that's me... I haven't stopped smiling for a long time, the car drives just how it should from the factory now and I'm plenty happy, though I do have the modding bug, so 264 cams are gonna be coming as soon as I get the extra cash.

I wasn't stuck, but I did things in a weird order, first was suspension and rims, then a stereo system, and now (almomst a year later) engine stuff. I knew exhaust was the best thing first, but I got a super deal on coilovers and rims from a guy parting out his Evo here.

P.S. I love how no one has said "search" yet, either EvoM is getting nicer, are realizing how crappy the search function is, or people don't realize this question has been asked a bunch.

boost gauage...

I know the feeling, I've had mine for 6 months and still in the honeymoon stage, I can't believe I'm driving this car...

I walk out of work and see it sitting there waiting for me, walk out the door and see it waiting for me...best feeling in the world.

This is what i did. Boost gauge, manual boost controller, fuel pump and then a Dyno Flash. The rest you can do later.
