Planning on buying the Br500 turbo upgrade...

Hey, I was wondering how any of you guys liked the Buschur racing BR500 turbo kit? I am interestede in getting one and while having the increase in power I also want my car to be as efficient as possible. What other mods do you need to get to make the turbo kit efficient and worth while? (ex: injectors, standalone etc.?) while not harming any other components? I know members on here have sufficient information and experience with this issue so please help me out.

I currently have:
-turbo back exhaust
-boost controller
-intake
-reflash
-264in. 272ex. cams
-aem cam gears
-arp headstuds
-Greddy type-s BOV
-Buschur upper intercooler piping
-Walbro Fuel Pump
-Borla Headers
-PWR radiator
-Timing Belt
-SAFC II

Please let me know some info on this matter, Thanks.

it would be OK, but it doesn't offer any TIMING adjustment, if you add a poop load of timing before boost you get better throttle response and faster spoolup. A flash can do so, son can a AEM and UTEC. For a turbo upgrade you may wnat a better engine management system. Makes sure you get a BB option, you really need it.

It's like teh GT30R right? Yeah get that.

Thumbs up

BR makes decent stuff, but your options in that power range are vast. i want a turbo that has top speed potential. the HKS GT3240 kit has propelled evo6's & 7's to 200mph. it is the fastest spooling turbo $ can buy. the T67 has massive topend power but ppl whine about it not being a BB turbo. the Apexi RX6 kit has proven itself on the TRACK (& NOT JUST THE 1/4 MILE EITHER). i guess you need to decide how much power you want & where you want it. you best spend at least $2-4k on a damn good triple disc carbon clutch or all this power will be wasted...

Hey man good luck with your purchase. I was wondering if you were the kid at cold stone's in Boca and brewzzi's restaurant a couple of months ago. I wound up parking next to you with my blue evo and we talked for a bit.

The Br500 comes with a new cast manny, the Gt35R doesnt come with a manny unless you pay for it.. The 500 is 2300 and for the 2800 for the BB series one.. and i beleive just the Gt35 is about 1400$ just for the turbo.. no manny , fan, etc...
