double clutch shift
the first guy who replied...i dont think thats correct at all, i dont think it would snap the car that hard. Basically, it seems to me that your friend just shifted really fast. When im racing and i shift really fast, my rpm's barely go down, and the car snaps hard pulling u back in ur seat, usually from 1-2 and 2-3.
What you're friend was probably doing was shifting while holding the Engine RPMs in the sweet spot. You can learn to do this by using quick shift while using a combination of gas and clutch at the same time. The key is not to press the clutch all the way to the floor, and not to push the gas all the way either. Pushing the clutch all the way in is going to waste time (time to push in, time to release). Pushing the accelerator all the way down is going to put your RPMs too high while the clutch is in. So with a little practice you will be able to get it right. This technique works best when you are already moving at a high speed. You only need to push the clutch in about an inch or so. You will probably have the gas pedal somewhere about midway down. Make sure to practice throwing your shift quickly. This will slam you back in your seat.
