Buttonwillow Track Experience... a Blast!

Just went there yesterday for the Performance driving clinic... learned a lot including heal n toe..
a instructor showed me how to "drive" properly... scary as hell.. didn't know that the car is so damn fast...

a bit of 4 wheel burn out and off the rocket shoots out... after a few corners she comments "Funny how that 911 is not on the rear mirror anymore" (mine is bone stock)

Maybe i was too hesitated about wasting too much tire, brake that i didn't drive that fast.. but nonetheless.. learned a lot..
one of the funny thing is... there's a red Corvett with lots of blue tape to protect his paint.. after we left on the freeway i saw him got stopped by a cop... i hope he's fine without ticket.

Another funny thing is one of the instructor comment on either a camaro or mustang that day.. he said driving those things with huge brake upgrade is too dangerous... you'll literraly face the floor when you hit the brake, and you face the sky when you step on the gas... no way you can drive / corner properly like that..

One of the instructor drives an Evo (the red one at the LA Auto Show) ... too bad i didn't get a chance to ask him to drive me for a round because there're so many people in line lol

No other evo showed up that day, no STi either..
however i meet with one other evo owner who brought his honda civic instead of his MR, nice and friendly person...

anyway, pic will be up later today or tomorrow..
Laters.

sounds like fun! i want to go to one of those days too since i've never tracked a car before and the Evo is definitely a car that should hit the track!

Yea! after this experience I think Evo Stock's Power is great enough.. maybe ECU flash + Xede then it'll be perfect.
it's power is all on turning... it grips like no other cars ... crazy
i'm starting to lean towards suspension, clutch, brakes on my upgrades now instead of making bigger HP... :-\
Maybe i'll start save on to buy next set of track only tires?
hmm... all those are damn expensive though :'(
