Please help on removal of dealship plastic decals
Sup, just curious on a good way to remove that stupid advertisement of the dealerships name on my car, I tried removing it slowly but the foamy adhesive started to stay on the paint so im curious how did you guys get it off and im actually thinking about taking off the Lancer Evolution bling too.
hairdryer and dental floss. this is definitely something you'd find using the search button, which folks will really flame you on next time you post a question without looking for the answer first. Make sure you use the hairdryer long enough that it comes of without much of a fight... the sticky stuff you can use (sparingly) goof-off or the like. good luck, and remember: The search button is your friend...
use a heat gun/blow dryer to soften the adhesive up a little bit, then use a some goof off, or some other adhesive remover. it just takes a bit of elbow grease regardless of the product/method you are using. you may need a clay bar, and then wax it right after you are done as well. works great for the lancer decal as well. good luck.
ps- i would drive it to the shop you bought it from and make their stupid a$$es take it off. i hate that sort of crap. i went to another manufacters dealer once and had a service done on my wofes old car. they had the gonads to put a license plate bracket on the back of the car, advertising their lot. i was livid and watched as the service rep removed it.

Should've had the dealership take it off before you signed for the car. Before I took delivery I made sure to tell the salesman no dealership badges or stickers and only hand wash the car.
Like everyone else has been saying...elbow grease, heat gun, and a good wash and wax.
