How to store spare parts

What would be a good way to store used mechanical parts, i.e clutch, front diff, safely in a basement?

aslong you cover the plastic bag or sheet to cover the parts and you will be fine. I did cover my V8s and Tranny with Motor Plastic cover. to keep dirt and dust away. so you will be fine if you cover it

Lol kilter! Yea I was a little concerned because I have my stock cat in the basement, without covering it with anything, and its rusting real bad.

plastic wrap would be good since there's a lot of moisture in the basement to keep your stuff nice and dry

I keep all my stock parts in my basement.. make sure you run a dehumidifier so it doesn't get really humid and cause everything to rust faster. Or keep it up on shelves incase your basement floods.. that is, if you have to worry about that where you live.
