Gear fluid change
Well I'm planning on doing my transfer case and rear diff fluids today. I searched and guys like to use OEM stuff and Redline. I was wondering if Mobil 1 is ok to use too since it meets the GL-5 specs.

use whatever you want that meats the requirements...
I strongly suggest to use OEM lsd gear oil for rear diff and TC...so easy to do ...
the Tranny i just used the GM syncromesh from lancershop...no probss

Transfercase - 0.58 qts of RedLine "heavyduty"
Rear Diff- 0.58 qts of M1 full syn
Use nothing else!!!
Since I only had Mobil 1 gear oil I only changed the rear diff. That was too easy! 
But damn that gear oil stinks!
When you say .58 quarts exactly how many ounces would that come out to? I'm guessing 18 oz. since thats a little over a half qt. right?
