Has anybody had thier dash cluster lights go out? I did, I left for 3 weeks came back drove the car and bam no dash lights... Well, actually the milage part and one light on the far left of the speedo is on. I tried adjusting the dimmer and just those two lights dim and go back up. I haven't had a chance to check it out, but does anyone have any ideas where to start?

 

I'd take it out and make sure the harnesses didn't get unplugged somehow. I'm not sure how the illumination is on those, but It's probably just a bulb or something. Take it out and check it out. Or it could just be a blown fuse.

 

I was thinking bulbs or fuse, but I just wanted to see if it has happened to anyone else or if I have an isolated incident.

 

1/2 my gauge cluster lights are out also.... Probably just bulbs since the light are always on with the car...

 

It's just the bulbs people. It's happened to me twice already. Replacements easy, however my dealer never stocks them and has to order them. So order a few extra as it will happen again.

If you are going to take the cluster out, may as well do bolsens light mod

 

my left speedo buld is out as well. it actually comes off and on. maybe my harness is loose.

 

This happened to me, haven't gone to dealership yet to order bulbs.

I have this same problem too on my 03 evo, wont warranty cover this? I'm sure its not hard to fix, but its just the principal of it I guess. also, I just noticed recently that when my car is turned off and I go to turn on the parking lights or head lights, the dash lights wont come on at all, unless I actually start the car? does anyone else have this problem?

 

Left side of my dash flickers on and off. Gonna take it in and tell em to fix it. I'm just laaaazzyy.

I did bolsen's light mod a day after I picked up the car...sadly, I broke a bulb (I tried to pull the bulb off of the base...stupid), but I was able to order bulbs at my dealership ($4 a bulb!).

In the end, the dash is much brighter...thanks to bolsen!
