Dude, just go to Modularfords.com, svtperformance.com, ls1tech.com and read up for yourself.

There are also 9 second stock blocked SS's and 10 second cam only cars too. You can read about 9 second Cobra's with less than 10K in parts if you want.

I'm not being rude, but your lack of knowledge in the sports car arena is obvious.

I work at a race track, and I can tell you that 03-04 cobras are way faster than the evo's. I work in the tower and see all the times and starts, so I have seen every evo and cobra that has raced. The cobras trap way higher and and leave the evo's by 330ft.

stock for stock duh.
cobras can be a mean machine with just a few minor upgrades. But unless your evo has around(id guess) 300wheel, it couldnt hang with a stock cobra. my o2.
Also if its a 1.4mile its all in the launch...on a roll my moneys on the stang. (i got my *** handed to me before)

EVO's are not light cars either 3200lbs isn't heavy, but compared to SRT-4's and Honda's EVO's are the the heavyweight in the class.

A 350whp EVO has hp/lb of 9.14

A 400rwhp stang only weight 3500-3650, so the hp/lb is 8.75-9.125 and the stang will have gobs more torque. Of course driver weight is a factor, but simple math says a Cobra with a air filter will tie or beat a 350whp EVO from a roll.

You really need a upgraded turbo to even have a shot at hanging with these cars from a roll.

Ok, the guys question was if he could take a Cobra with FLOWMASTER PIPES, not 2-4k in mods. The best time Car and driver could get for this car was 12.9 in the 1/4, so you figure maybe with pipes and a better track and driver you could probably get a mid 12.

An Evo with those mods should be a low 12 sec car pretty much wherever you go. If this is a 1/4 mile race the Evo will win if you get a decent launch, no questions. If it's from a roll or you bog it it could be another story. I'm not saying that Cobra's aren't fast or can't be made fast very easily but with the mods he listed for those two cars the Evo would win no doubt.

As long as he isnt pullied, you SHOULD be ok. They are FAST from a roll-on, even stock. Me and the pullied Cobra with exhaust were neck and neck from 2nd to the top of 4th.
LIC does next to nothing HP wise.

Anyhow, if you are around 350whp you will have no problem taking a cobra from a roll or from a dig if you are a decent to good driver.

careful, cobra's can run 12.4-12.6s out of the box, stock.
