It seems as though the paint on my passenger side front door handle is kind of rubbing off. it's really light in some parts and there's a little white spot in it too where it looks like the paint has completely rubbed off. Has anyone else had a problem like this?

 

The door handles, mirrors and side skirt paint will fade faster than the rest bc its plastic. Take it to the dealer and show them, got pics?

 

no pics right now. I may be able to get some tomorrow. Will they still fix it even though ive modded my car? I know i havent done anything to the appearance of the car, but mitsu sucks about warranty stuff.

 

I think they will fix it, i have cams exhaust bov intercooler pipe and it is dropped and they warrantied one of my hid's that turned pink and the driver seat foe accelerated wear.

my mods dont conflict with the waratied items, I even had a harness on the seat and they didn't say anything.

So i went to the dealership today and showed the service manager the paint problem and his response was "Obviously someone hit your car" and i asked "How would it be possibe for someone to hit my car on only that tiny part of the door handle and leave no scratch or anything" And he looks around the side of my car and points to a point right above the front wheel well "Here's a scratch here, obviously you were side swiped. Im sorry but theres nothing we can do. The warranty does not cover damage to the paint. I can have my body shop write up an estimate for you if you would like" and i just drove away. Doesnt mitsubishi suck ***?

 

Dude, the guy was a dumb ***. He tried to convince us that the EVO has a clear coat. His exact words were "of course it has a clear coat, all new cars do." When we told him that he was wrong, he just stood there eating his own words. I'll post up some pics of what it looks like. When we drove away from the dealership, the one thing that stood out was the sign that says "We got your back!" Haha, right.......

 

God that service manager was a fricken idiot
