Read the Mother's metal polish carefully......it might have chemicals that will damage the clear-coat on your wheels (?). I treat my wheels the way I treat the bodywork.......shampoo & plenty of wax (never use wheel cleaners unless I really have to).

I would not used metal polish on clear coated wheels. All you need is a good wash with the stuff you wash your cars with and a nice coat of Wheelwax or Rejex.

I thought I was the only one who spent more time scrubbing wheels than washing and drying the car.

I spent over an hour on the MR wheels last time I washed the car, all those littel corners where the spokes and rim come together are a real PITA.

Which is exactly why I use Wheelwax or Rejex on mine. Makes cleaning those BBS's a snap.

You just damaged your clear coat: metal polish is for....METAL! Like everyone said, use Wheelwax (I use Poorboy's Wheel Sealent....MUCH easier to take off) after you've claned, clayed, and polished (I prefer Klasse AIO) the rims.
