this morning i took it out for a rip hit second gear and the car bucked like the rev limiter at 6500. then a minute later the cel light came on should i reset the ecu???and how would i do it?

It doesn't sound like it's an important CEL, but it's normally free to find out what it is. You may as well take it in somewhere just in case. I don't know what kind of parts shops you have up in NJ, but I know a lot of the ones around here (i.e. Autozone) will at least tell you what it is for free.

well the place around the block will tell me for free i guess ill just go there

 

Like I said, it would be a good idea to check it just in case. If you really don't want to take the 15 min. (driving time included) to check it out, then yeah, you may as well reset it. Like it said, probably not anything important...maybe just a misfire...you;d hafta get a response from some of the actual EVO guys around here.

you guys are right it was overboost cel P0234 had it erased

on pro b 2 just went from 55 to 56 and got cell on wot in 2nd

 

Yes it could. What are you turning up the boost to?

 

peak is 21.5 at 55 setting i saw like 22 .5 with the 56 setting

 

Ask TT to verify that they took out the boost cut
