Question Can I put on a LICP w/o taking off....

... the bumper? I should be able to get to it with just the splash tray removed correct?

Yep no need for the bumper to come off, but it wont be as easy...if you have access to a lift id do it on there, otherwise its a ***** lying under the car for an hour or 2.

I would go as far to say NO.

The reason being is that there is a bolt and bracket you have to take off for the stock LICP. The position of the bolt makes it almost impossible to get to without taking the bumper off.

I can get the front bumper off in under 2 minutes. Of course, I have no undertrays on, but even so, it should be that hard, Id take it off, be MUCH easier.

Sometimes you end up wasting more time trying to save time. Just take it off!

Take off the bumper. It's a one person job. Taking off the bumper will make the job 100 times easier.

haha.. don't ask me how I know! Sometimes that's the motto of my life. I try short cutting ways to see whether or not it can be done for a lot of things. It's good to know what can and can't be done for future work on the car. Hearing feedback from folks on here about tips and tricks help a lot too.

I did it without taking off the bumper... but DON'T DO IT!!! Pain-in-the-*** doesn't even begin to describe it! It's super hard to get to all of the stock bolts, and even harder to bolt up the top of the LICP to the bottom of the turbo and adjust it to fit!

First pic is us doing it with the bumper on, super tight fit to jam your hands in there. Second pic is the same area with the bumper off: tons of room to work and see what you're doing.

What everyone's saying is right: it's 100% worth it to take off the bumper!

tape up your head lights, it is easy to scratch them with the bumper if you do the work by yourself

I thought it was pretty easy with the splash guard off but the front bumper still on. It only took me 15 minutes or so to get it off. With the aftermarket licp you don't have support brackets so the reinstall is just a matter of lining everything up just right.
