well any way you look at it, im going to save money. The smaller monthly payments, the less $$ hit in depreciation hit after a few years and tons of miles, the money i usually spend to get more hp, and the little better mpg...

Hello Moto ! , JK!

Man, if you are going to mod the EVO, forget about the gas justification.
Like you say, you can save on lower payments, depreciation and the like, but gas mileage can be even worst than that of the M3 after you start modding your ride!.
Somebody around this forum made a driving comparison between the EVO and your M3, with some very interesting conclusions. You may want to do a search for that. I think you can do more and cheaper mods to the EVO with a faster outcome, but maybe in the end you may be not happy with the ride difference between the 2 cars, from what I think you're used to with your M3.
