backfire problems after spark plugs

Hey guys, I just changed my spark plugs and changed my hks filter.

After this, I started getting backfire. pop pop like every other second

Also at idle, my wideband was reading a higher number.
before it was around 15-16. now it's at 20-22 afr/lambda

I put the old plugs back in and the car was still shaky
and reading a high afr number around 17-18, and eventually
backfired, BUT not as frequent.

I pulled each one, one by one and couldn't figure out if
just one of the plugs are bad.

coilpack? what could it be?

thanks

did you check the resistance's on the coilpack and the plug wires? you can check with an ohmmeter or something similar. I believe resistance on secondary coils are between 8.5-11.5ohms. The spark plug cable resistance should be no greater than 19ohms. hope this helps some.

I think if this is fine then your cams might be the culprits. could use some good tuning.

no i didn't check the resistance, but could the coilpack have gone bad after changing my spark plugs?

i just got tuned for my new cams w/ my safc and wideband.
but i doubt the tune is that sensitive that a spark plug change
and filter could affect it.

at first i thought it was the better flow w/ my new filter
because the wideband was reading leaner,
but i was getting backfire so i was confused.

i went back out and regapped the new plugs to .028
and it's still backfiring. Checked and rechecked all
the wires.

BOV isn't going off either...what does that say..?

im pretty sure that .028 is a bit too big.

mine are gapped at .025, i tried them at .027 once and it misfired like crazy.

what plugs did you use?
