No Dealer in MN has the transmission fluid for an Evolution

I can't Belive that no dealer in minnesota has the tranny fluid for the EVO and it is a special kind and they call it the GL3 fluid. Anyone has any comments on that or know where else i can find the GL3 fluid?

Same deal

I asked my MN Mits dealer to get me spare fluid for the ACD and tranny six months ago. I've been asking ever since and the answer as always the same; we need (parts dept) to check with the technicians to figure out what we need. My response; the friggin owners manual tells you exactly what you need. No matter, they don't seem interested in helping me out. Wouldn't count on the dealer. They seem to know less about the Evo than just about anyone.

Hey! you know what go to any GM dealer and pick up the Syncromesh tranny fluid and it is the same thing as the syncro shift. That is perfect.

Hey, so just head out to GM and get some syncromesh from than. Thats another option to getting the tranny fluid.

I agree that the Syncromesh will work, but Mitsubishi probably would void the warranty if there is a problem.

The shop manual spec is GL-4 for the '03 Evo transmission. If you are talking about the front transfer case then the specified fluid is Mitsubishi Dia-Queen stuff. Dia-Queen is available, but it's a special order - I have 2 gallons of it in my garage (also in MN).
