Does anyone knoe if there is an alternative to buying factory parts from mitsu? My stock apillar main tab got broken, and it can no longer support my 60mm gauges. Mitsu quoted me $300 + for the apillar... There has to be a better / cheaper way to get this thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Yes, I have been looking in the for sale section.

Call a salvage yard. Almost all of them are linked to other yards electronically. You should be able to get one for half the price or less.

 

Are you talking about the plastic cover or the steel structure?

 

$300 for what? The plastic part? Thats a ~$40 part at every dealer... do you have the right part number?

 

Tell them you have a Lancer. Maybe the Lancer pillar is cheaper!

In all seriousness though, that plastic cover should be pretty inexpensive. I think there must have been some sort of confusion on their end.

 

Yeah... Something didn't sound right about that price. I'm going to give them another call. I'm just looking for the plastic cover... After hearing the 300 price i started looking in the windows of other lancer models to see if they matched .

That is a really expensive plastic piece haha. I will look around my town we have a lot of salvage yards here and if I find one I will let you know the price.
