I'm assuming you're talking about the ones on the rear of the cat? Yeah, they're a PITA. I usually use a 1/2" breaker bar if it'll fit, 3/8" if it won't, and slide a REALLY LONG breaker bar over that which consists of the handle off my Harbor Freight aluminum jack. It's a hollow aluminum bar about 4ft. in length. Does the trick every time! You can run out to Home Depot, Lowe's, etc...and purchase a steel tube as well for the same effect. Just make sure the inside diameter is large enough to fit over a 1/2" breaker bar handle. You can also get them in different lengths that way as sometimes the amount of space is limited.

haha, me and 2 other guys had the same problem this weekend. Couldnt even get it with the Impact gun. So, we wedged it between tree branch on my big maple in my side yard, One guy held it, the other started spinning the CAT on the one bolt left, soaked in PB Blaster , and Impact Gun while turning the cat. Came off like a champ. True "Tool Time" Style ::grunt::

One key for me is to make sure you attempt to break them loose before you loosen any other part of the exhaust. It helps to have the whole exhaust sturdy so you can really lean on those nuts.
