Top 3 or 4 mods for an EVO

well the times almost here. within the next few months my dads taking a loan out for an evo and i gotta co-sign it or sumthin....not to sure how it works, all i know is that ill pretty much have to be making payments on it. anyway, after the horrors i had with moding my 04 tiburon i dont wnana make the same mistakes. i really dont wanna go crazy modding it. with that said i have 2 questions:

1. if you can pick 3 or 4 mods for an evo 8 what would they be? best bang for your buck. (im talking about performance mods by the way, not suspension or looks)

2. lastly, im sure many ppl will tell me an exhaust is a good mod but if i purchase one i wanna know i got the quietest one possible. the catback i had on my tiburon combined with my aftermarket headers was soooo loud. nice from outside but to much resonating and vibrations from the inside. worst driving experience ever.

I could easily answer your question and would be happy to, but not until you show that you've done some research on your own. This not only has been discussed a zillion times, but has been discussed every day in the history of EvoM. Do a search, tell me what you find, and then I'll guide you a bit.

I love how people here on this board would rather ***** instead of just answering a simple question even if it has been beating to the ground.Theres always new opinions out there.Just because people are Newbies dont mean you have to trash them for asking a simple question

The info you find in searches _IS_ from people who have experience. If your search said an S-AFC is good, but only MAYBE on an exhaust, then that was a pretty poor search. No mention of a flash? Doubtful.

Oh well, you feigned effort, so I'll give you the simple answer...

In order of importance:
1) Driver mod - cheapest, but most difficult to obtain
2) Exhaust - my preference is the Megan 3" catless TBE for $550-600
3) Tune (flash, piggyback, or standalone, but flash is best for you) - mail-in flash is $199 from Dynoflash - custom flashes cost more but are better
4) Boost control - mbc, ebc, or through a boost-controlling flash

There are other fairly simple mods beyond these that are useful, but those are definitely the top 3-4 in terms of power and bang for the buck.

Cam gears? Did you really mean to say that or just cams? Cams are awesome, but cam gears are just a utility device, not a power-making device.

Intake, TB Exhuast, DP, Boost Controller, Reflash by Al . Sorry that it's 5, but that right there can be upwards of 310 WHP...for less than 2K...

Why did you say TBE and downpipe? A TBE includes a DP. Also, an intake is by no means one of the top mods on an Evo. It's one of the least important and least effective. Cams, LICP, BOV, and alky are far, MUCH higher on the list than an intake.
