non carbon fiber hoods??

non carbon fiber hoods??

so is there any cool hoods that arent carbon fiber. body shop guy tells me the fibers start to show through the pant after awhile, so im looking for an aluminum hood.

i know but its 815 bucks so id rather get a cooler cheaper aftermarket one

How about this: Get a power drill and start cutting out shapes that look like ducting. I assure you that your self made ducts will have about the same effects as an aftermarket aluminum hood.

I believe the only aftermarket hoods for the evo are carbon fiber ones. If you really don't want the cf look, you could paint it to match your car.

it will probably take years to show through and it may look cool when you get real close and you see the CF but from a foot away it looks color matched to the rest of your car.....i would do something like that if mine wasnt black

the guy i talked to owns a large body shop in town and has painted his fair share of race cars loaded with CF. he was saying its closer to six months. it sucks cause i love the shapes the CF hoods come in. but id rather people not know my hood is CF.

Well the sides of the wings are carbon fiber and i am sure sombody here has had there evo more then 6 months.
