TRE tranny A+ Customer Service

I will start off with saying that TRE is very dedicated to customer service. I had my transmission rebuilt by them back in May. Everything worked out great. Jon was there to answer all of my questions.
10,000 miles and four months later I start to have problems with first gear. It would pop out under any sort of power. I send Jon a pm and not even 15 minutes later he was on the phone calling me trying to figure out the problem.
Even though the warranty was out Jon still honored it and he was going to cover it under warranty. All I had to pay for was the shipping. They took the tranny in and completely revised it with all their latest revisions. I get it back in and it shifts even smoother than before. Jon said the tranny looked great and he really couldn't find anything wrong with it. He updated it anyway and had it out the next day.
I am very satisfied with the work from TRE. The car is so much more enjoyable to drive with the basically new tranny in there. It shifts smooth and fast. The shifter effort is close to nothing.
I would recommend TRE to anyone who needs any drivetrain work done.

I couldn't agree more. Jon is what I like to call, "a true tradesman." He's passionate, well-educated, honest, and hard-working. On top of all this, he charges fair prices as well. He built a FWD tranny for my 2G Spyder a while back, and I will certainly be using him if I decide to do tranny work on the Evo.

Jon consistently wins high marks from even the most discriminating enthusiasts.

I should be getting my t-case from him in a couple of days. I ordered one with "beefed up" spider gears, can't wait.

Also, Jon is a great guy to deal with. He talked to me on the Phone for almost 45 minutes. He is extremely knowledgable, half of the stuff he was talking about I didn't even understand. He offers very fair prices as well.

I know this is kinda OT but you guys that have had your tranny/transfer serviced @ TRE.. did you remove/reinstall these yourself? I'm just curious if this can be done fairly easy.

We couldnt agree more. Jon went out of his way on short notice to help us get ready for the Nopi event in Norwalk, and he does excellent work. Wouldnt think of going anywhere else when it comes to transmission and TC work on our evo, or any of our customers evos.
