With all theses dynos going around, is it beneficial to baby your EVO the first 600 or it doesn't it matter??

Well..I have found the majority of the people with the keep below 5000 RPMs bit...but I was curious if driving it hard instead of babying it would be beneficial or detremental

I dogged my GSX since the day I bought it... I run consistant mid 12's with the stock internals... With regular oil, not synthetic... Never had a problem at all with my baby.... 133,000 miles and still going...

i think this is a mixed bag.......there are folks who drive like 'tards from day one and their cars run long and strong.....then some folks baby them from day one and they still break.

I will most likely drive somewhat harder and not listen to the crap about low rpm for the first 600 miles.

I am a cheapass and have only ever bought about 6 cars new and was just mediocre nice to them.... i don't keep them long enough anyway....beat the **** out of it!!!!

The manual says to keep it under 5000rpms until 600 miles. That's it.

What you decide to do, is up to you.

I know I had a hard time keeping it under 5000rpms all the time... This baby just wants to run.
