Which ACD setting best on GAS Mileage?

Some big 4wd cars have this (I think the Toyota Land Cruiser does) but I think their systems are much different to the evos.

Here's an interesting paper about the design of the ACD:

Development of Center-Differential Control System for High-Performance Four-Wheel-Drive Vehicles

It doesn't go into detail about what the settings actually do, but obviously it's comparable to what the Subaru DCCD does and Tarmac is more open and Snow is more locked.

The Celica Alltrac has a switch to select AWD, FWD, or RWD. My friend has one. Pretty cool car.
