Heard a pop while accelerating.. now the car "flutters" under accelerating
This happened to me and a friend...Check your Intake Snorkle to make sure the push pins are in it, we had the same problem and the air was pushin the snorkle up at WOT and wasnt getting any air.
Yeah, actually, you were on the dot. Since the O2 stud disappeared, the exhaust leak was what was causing the rattling/fluttering/raspy noises under load, and why they disappeared when coasting/idle. Good call, though!
Well, it's good that you found the problem, now you've just gotta fix it. LOL I came to a screeching hault when I blew my tranny, and I'm still saving up for the gears/tranny. Mind you this was atleat 2 months ago. Good luck with it tho!

He was accel, and then the car hesitated as if he let off the gas, then the power came back on. Any ideas?? Hes got a evo 9.
Thats just the Stock evo 9 BOV it does the HKS STUTTER/FLUTTER Sound when releasing low boost. It was always doing it on yoiur buddies car, but he couldnt really hear it well until he installed the K&N. I have a cone filter and I can hear it well. Nothing is wrong tell him not to worry.
