my evo is screwed IDEAS?

ok well i tried to start it and nothing but click... charged the battery overnight and nothing tried to jump start it in the morning and same exact thing ..all i hear is the solonoid click and nothing. ok so i tried this i dont know if you can but i had a friend help me push and tried popping it and nothing but locked all 4 tires everytime. . . . so then a flatbed came and said he would screw up the front end if he tried and he proceeded to hook it up to give it a good pull so i can pop start it..well that didnt work no matter what the car just locked all 4 up ....does any one have any ideas???? on wtf could do this ???

Did you check the main fuses on the battery? I can't remember which one it is, but there's a big like 80amps that can burn out.

i think it is in the box under the hood, not in the cabin. also, is the lights and radio working?

Everything can still work like accesories and it can still be the battery. Test the battery and go from their.

true, but i would check the big box type fuses under the hood first, it is easier to just look there.

when the dealer first installed my optional alarm it activated the VATS system and they had to re flash my PCM to get ti to register my key again.

Samething could have happened to you. something caused a VATS fault and now it won't start.

Couple things.. you don't push start a car in 4-5.. try it in 1st maybe 2nd

3rd.. check your grounds.. If it is clicking it is likely hooked up, but can't pull the amperage it needs..

If not, pull the starter off and have it tested.

Check the ground on the battery side as well as the wires going to the starter.

if it is that and the key is now the problem, there will be a little green key light on the dash when you are trying to start it.

yes u can popstart an evo, but try it in 2nd.

Sounds like a problem i had after giving some1 a jump start.

Mine just made clicking noise over n over. What u should try which worked for me is just sit there for a good 3-5minutes and just keep turning the key until it fires up. i had to do it for a good 3 minutes after clicking it fired up. i had to do this a few times and then a few days later back to normal
