EVO 8's in stock in NJ!
i just wanted to let you guys know i went to the mitsu dealer (Salerno Duane Mitsubishi) today here in jersey city, NJ, to check out the EVOs. might i say, HOLY CRAP thats a beautiful beautiful sexy car
. the only bad thing about it is that they have a markup of $5000!
. but if any of you are still looking to find one and are willing to pay $5000 over sticker, here's your chance. the yellow one in the showroom had a final sticker price (including the markup) of $35080. and i asked if they had other ones in stock and they told me that they still have 5 left (not including the one in the showroom) without deposits on them. the colors i asked if they had were blue and red, but they said they didnt have the blue one in stock, so the only colors i know they have so far is the yellow and red ones. so i just wanted to let all the ppoL that are still searchin for EVOs that there's still some here.

If they have 5 left, that means they only sold one in the week they had them. A buddy of mine offered MSRP (he was not really ready to buy) but they were definitely interested. I have a contract with them for MSRP, but I am waiting until the STi comes out before I decide...
My experiences with them (Salerno-Duane) were very pleasant (aside from a 6 week wait for a black 5spd OZ to become available and that wasn't even their fault). I think they just wanna make a buck if they can now, and if they can't they'll go to MSRP or at least close to it.
I don't wanna turn this into another MSRP argument, but you can't blame them for trying to make an extra few bucks. I think this is the case with most dealers though. If they don't make what they want then they'll eventually settle. Otherwise there's gonna be jokes like the Aztec/Civic Si ones.
Q: What do you call a lot of Evos being sold way over MSRP?
A: A lifetime supply.

Is anyone here dealing with Manfredi Mitsubishi on Staten Island? As of today I have officially withdrawn my deposit of $1000 because I'm not in the mood for their bull**** scams. I do know for a fact that their black no sunroof was sold this weekend, but the only reason it was sold was because a mechanic from the Subaru dealer down the block bought it, and Subaru is owned by Manfredi so I'm positive he didn't pay a dime over sticker. They surrently want $3500 over sticker, but honestly I can say these dealers are feeling pressure already. Anyone in the tristate area should hear me out.... Just give it a month and they'll come CRAWLING back. They thought these cars were gonna be gone the day they came in and now we're calling their bluff to try to sell them from over MSRP. When I cantacted them this weekend that I wasn't going to pay over MSRP do to the fact that it was out of my price range due to insurance and car price they called me back a few hours later with an insurance broker I should try to quell the cost. I went in today and said I want my deposit back now and that I wouldn't be going to any other insurance company. I made them aware that I have found 3 dealers within 200 miles of here that are selling for MSRP and that I'm more than willing to travel the distance to get a fair deal.
Also I have a Diamond Loyalty Certificate for the amount of $2600 and they tried some bull**** lies saying any remaining amount could not be applied to the down payment of a new vehicle. I spoke with Mr. Jarvis about this issue and he told me otherwise. Beware of Manfredi, they're as dirty as dealers get.
