some weird noise coming from engine...

last night when i was coming back home, i ran over a big a** branch.... didnt even see it... it broke my stock front lip and tore one of my ic piping hose..... so because of that my idle was low and the car kept dying..... so i tried to drive it home and it died a couple times on me.... but thats not really the problem... the idle is perfect now that i replaced the hose.... the problwem is that once the car starts boosting it makes a very loud whistling noise... it sounds like a very big turbo spooling... can any good mechanics in here tell me what can be wrong? i took it to a shop but they couldnt figure what was wrong.... let me know... need some help!!!! thanks

vacuum leak. Run a compression test and you'll find it.

you have a boost leak. Something is still allowing the pressurized air from the turbo to escape from the intercooler/intake piping through a split that is making the loud noise.

yup, you def still have a leak......sounds like the same sound I was hearing when one of the clamps on my HKS UIC pipe w/SSQ kit somehow worked its way off creating a small opening where the hose meets the lower IC pipe. It wasn't visible by eye, it was on the backside....
