I thought about goingt o that event last weekend but changed my mind since I had that experience last year with my old 8 MR. It looks like you were having a blast but my experience with the ACD could best be described when I autocrossed in the rain. With the ACD set on gravel or even snow, the front tires grabs much sooner under throttle at the beginning and mid turn. On tarmac however the front lost traction for a split second and doesn't bite until you're exiting.

Thats probably because the rears were pushing you more since they are more active in 'tarmac' mode.

Beware of Curbs if you plan on doing this in a parking lot. I didn't even try this and my rim is bent now. I do not have stock advans(currently using Kumho ASX) either, just incase you're wondering how I slid into a curb. I'm pretty sure some of you guys will be on here wondering if you broke anything like me when you slam into the curb.

We do this in a huge parking lot, legally sanctioned, same lot as we run Auto-x in the summer. No curbs, no islands, just 5 poles that are spread WAY out and you dont even come close to

This is done in a control environment on a course that is designed with a lot of safety in mind.

My pic isn't as cool as the poster's pic but it's the only snow pic I got. I'll have to get some motion pics soon though...

63 cars showed up for the event! Which is a TON for a Snow-x... I can't complain about the warm weather either, but I am hoping for some snow for the next event
