Help me figure this out...
OK, I got my new wideband and I'm having trouble figuring out if my O2 sensor location is messing up my reading. OK, here it goes....
First, I got a Dp w/ O2 bung from WORKS and they put the bung in a odd location.

the location is about 12" away from the turbo.
Now, the Zeitronix wideband I got say it has to be at least 12" from the headers and can't be exposed to temps over 800*C (1475*F). The O2 location is barely 12" away (I know its close), but I know that exhaust temps at that location are usually not hotter then 800*C.
Ok, now lets get to my results and why I question my O2 location. I logged my AFRs with the mods in my sig. The map I'm running is one I downloaded from Vishnu website for my mods (330+). The only thing I did was lower the boost so that it was 21 psi tapering down to 18 psi. In 3rd gear I had AFRs of 12.6:1 +/- .2 all the way to redline, In 4th gear AFRs were around 11.8:1.
Now, that's really lean for an off the shelf map, so I started to question my O2 location. After thinkin' for a while, I desided that I would zero out the fuel and timing maps, basiclly making no changes to what the stock ECU is doing. I kept the boost at 20-21 tapering to 18-17. The AFR now were at 11.0:1 @ 4000rpms, and got richer, ending up at 10.2:1 by 6000rpms. Now that is fairly similar to the AFRs of a stock '05.
Last, with this wideband, there is NO Calibration. Also, my AFRs @ idle are 14.7-8:1 +/- .2, right about where they should be.
Any input would be appreciated.
